Wine Tasting Tasca D’Almerita/ Regaleali Wine Experience What could be better than to spend a day in the company of like minded wine enthusiasts, visiting the estate of the Conte Tasca Family? Where we taste the wine of the Regaleali label and get a guided tour through the factory to better understand the workings of one of the oldest wine companies in Sicily. Here in the beautiful region of Caltanisetta the Conte Tasca family has been producing superb wine for generations, today the vineyard has a more dynamic approach to the manufacturing of the grape, however the traditional buildings are fabulously preserved and are enjoyed by everyone visiting this perfect secluded spot. We start the day by greeting our tour manager Sacha, who will help you build up a thirst whilst, giving you an explanation of the harvesting and pressing of the grapes, as we move around the factory he has many interesting stories to tell and little glimpses into the noble past of the Conte Tasca family. Continuing on we see how the bottling process is completed and finally packed before arriving onto the world wide market. As the day progresses we move to the beautiful main building where we have time to freshen up before a wonderful wine tasting commences. Here is where we get to sample some of the great wines that are spoken about, and with the guidance of Sacha he talks us through the selected grapes and there history. After the wine tasting; lunch is served and the wine still flows; Here on the estate its not just wine they produce but also all there own vegetables and fruit, olive oil is bottled here also, prized in the area for its superb taste and with each course that is served you will receive an explanation of the dishes you are tasting. Finally the coffee is served and you are able to take a walk around the estate grounds at leisure or maybe just to sit quietly in the beautiful courtyard enjoying the sunshine. This is really one of the best ways to spend a day in Sicily and will give you a greater insight into the produce of the regions.  Tour options run on alternate days; Tour 1: Includes; full guided tour of estate, wine tasting with 6 wines and full Lunch. € 95.00 Tour 2: Includes; Full guided tour of estate, wine tasting with 4 wines and light lunch. € 65.00 All costs include transport to and from the vineyards from a pre arranged pick up point, dependent on where you are staying.
